Online diff tool for text, JSON, config files, and PDFs

Paste or upload two versions, then choose the comparison mode that matches the source. Use Text Diff for raw lines, JSON Diff for structured payloads, PDF Diff for documents, and JSON Repair when invalid JSON needs fixing first.

Start with the input you already have

1

Start with the source of truth

If the input is structured JSON, use JSON Diff. If the goal is raw line-by-line review, use Text Diff. If the file is a PDF document, use PDF Diff. If the JSON is malformed, repair it first and then compare it.

Choose the mode from the file itself, not from the name of the task. The same release review can involve a JSON response, an `.env` file, and a PDF export.

2

Common jobs that start from a generic diff search

Quick comparisons of copy changes, logs, config files, API payloads, exported fixtures, and release artifacts often begin with a broad diff search. A good tool hub should narrow that intent within one or two clicks.

For a quick text check, start with Text Diff. For nested payloads or API output, use JSON Diff so formatting does not hide the meaningful change.
